European Work Visa

Working in Europe is not easy if you are a foreigner and your country is not part of European Union. You should have a European work visa in order to seek employment in Europe. It is illegal to work in Europe without European work visa.

If your country is a member of European Union then there is absolutely no need for a European work visa. The only condition you must strictly follow is that you have to register yourself with local police after a period of 90 days to apply for residency permit.

You should also have the job offer letter and sponsorship of an established European company where you are getting employed. Some online sites can also help you to obtain European work visa. Some European countries have announced certain programs to attract highly skilled migrants. There are some European countries that have an acute shortage of skilled manpower, hence have started these programs. These programs use points system to qualify an applicant for a European work visa. Depending on your occupation skills, age, work experience etc you are awarded points. A highly skilled worker, who has a good work experience and fluency in local language of that European country, has better chances of obtaining European work visa.

Academic qualification also matters a lot. A person having a PhD gets more points than a person who has a Bachelors degree. If you have work experience of that country where you intend to work then you are sure to get extra points. Applicants who are between 25 to 30 years of age are more preferred, hence are given additional points. For obtaining a European work visa, you should also submit the required documents specified in the immigration laws. If you forget to attach any relevant documentation to the visa application form, you will not be given a second chance to attach any more documentation. Your application will be considered based on the incomplete information that you have provided. In such cases, it is likely that your European work visa will be rejected.

If you want to start a new business in any of the European countries then you must posses a business visa. You also have to prove that you have worked full time in management of a business.  There are some web sites that provide online assessment forms that tell whether you are eligible for a European work visa. These websites also give valuable immigration advice.
